Immediately remove all reminders of them.

HINT: Immediate means right now, not tomorrow. ALL reminders means ALL, not everything except their phone number, email, screen name, and that video of them coming out of the shower.

You will know you have moved on emotionally when you see a picture of your ex and it doesn’t bring out anything in you. Your reaction is mostly, "Huh. I remember that person. Cool. I must have been a different human to be with them. Interesting. Oh look, a cloud! It looks like a pizza. I'm outta here!... To get pizza!"

Once you’ve removed all reminders, allow yourself to vent your frustrations and anger. It's OK to get sad, too. Girls, let yourself cry it out. Guys, it's OK when you cry over the loss of a loved one. But if you're really concerned about not appearing manly, then cry in the privacy of your home instead of in the laundry detergent aisle of Cheap Mart.

YOU: (crying) These products remind me of laundry which reminds me of clothes which reminds me of my ex-girlfriend because SHE used to wear clothes!

HINT TO GUYS: Don't allow yourself to weep while looking at a photo of your ex-girl and masturbating.

TIMES WHEN IT'S OK AND NOT-OK FOR A MAN TO CRY

First thing to do to get over your ex... Get aggressive. It's happened. See it head on. Don't hide.

Express your feelings by shouting in private, talking with a good friend who knows how to listen, and by dancing.

Do whatever you need to do to face it. Get out your anger and frustration doing anything as long as it doesn’t hurt you or others. So guys, no picking fights in the bar. And girls, please refrain from stabbing anyone in the pen!s.
